By creating a Speaklo account or using the app, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Community Rules.
1. The service
Speaklo helps adults practise English through lessons, AI Speak, live partner voice calls, and IELTS-style practice mocks. Features may change as we improve the product.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.
3. Accounts
- Provide accurate registration information.
- One person per account; do not share accounts.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms or Community Rules.
4. Acceptable use
You must not harass others, share illegal or sexual content involving minors, spam, scrape, reverse-engineer in violation of law, or disrupt the service. Live calls are for language practice — treat partners with respect.
5. Live matching & safety
Matching may use profile preferences (including gender filters when unlocked). You can report partners after calls. We may warn, suspend, or ban accounts based on reports and admin review. Appeals may be available when enabled.
6. Payments
Optional paid unlocks (for example gender-match unlock or extra live minutes) are charged through Razorpay. Prices shown in-app apply at checkout. Purchases are generally non-refundable except where required by law or stated otherwise at purchase.
7. IELTS practice disclaimer
IELTS Academic practice mocks and band estimates are unofficial practice tools. Speaklo is not affiliated with British Council, IDP, or Cambridge Assessment. Scores are estimates for learning only and are not official IELTS results.
8. AI features
AI Speak and related feedback are automated helpers. They can be wrong. Do not rely on them for professional, legal, or exam certification decisions.
9. Intellectual property
Speaklo branding, app software, and original learning content belong to us or our licensors. You keep ownership of content you create (for example essays you type), and you grant us a licence to process it to run the service.
10. Availability
We aim for good uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service (including third-party voice, email, or payment providers).
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Speaklo is provided “as is”. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes may be highlighted in-app or by email when practical.
