Speaklo (“we”, “us”) is an English-learning app operated in connection with Hapyzo. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it when you use the Speaklo mobile app and related services.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: email, display name, password (stored hashed), profile details you choose (level, goals, gender preference for matching, bio).
- Usage data: learning progress, live-call metadata (not call recordings by default), AI practice messages needed to run the coach, IELTS practice answers you submit, payment package entitlements.
- Device / network: IP address (e.g. login and safety reports), basic device/app diagnostics.
- Payments: checkout is handled by Razorpay; we store payment status and references, not full card numbers.
2. How we use information
- Create and secure your account (including email OTP verification via Resend).
- Provide live partner matching and voice sessions (Agora).
- Provide AI Speak practice and IELTS practice scoring.
- Process purchases and unlocks.
- Moderate reports, warnings, and suspensions for safety.
- Improve reliability and prevent abuse.
3. Service providers
We use trusted processors to run Speaklo, including:
- Hosting / database (e.g. Render + PostgreSQL)
- Email delivery (Resend)
- Realtime voice (Agora)
- Payments (Razorpay)
- Optional AI providers for coaching / practice feedback
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with processors who help us operate the service, when required by law, or to protect users from serious harm or fraud.
5. Retention & account deletion
You can delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete account) when that feature is enabled. Deletion disables the account and removes access tokens; some records may be kept for a limited time for safety, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.
6. Children
Speaklo is intended for users aged 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.
7. Your choices
- Update profile information in the app.
- Request account deletion from Profile (or contact support).
